Open the app, create a group, and share the join link or group code with your friends. To join, tap a friend’s link or enter their code and pick a display name. There’s no sign-up — no email or password.

Twice a day a fresh set of three topics opens for voting. The topic with the most votes becomes the group’s lesson for that round; the article link is revealed once voting closes (so nobody reads ahead). You can change your vote until the round ends.

Showing up and taking part on consecutive days builds your streak. Hit a 5-day streak and you unlock the ability to propose your own topics for the group to vote on — they drop straight onto the current ballot.

Lightning Round is a live, real-time game for your group. Everyone joins a lobby, votes on a topic, then races through a synced quiz across three rounds — the faster you answer correctly, the more you score. Tap ⚡ Lightning Round on your group screen to start one (you’ll want a couple of friends in at once).

Tap the gear in the top-right of your group screen to open Settings — change your display name, manage notifications, switch or leave a group, or replay how it works.

Shake your phone anywhere in the app, or open Settings → Send feedback. Type a note and it comes straight to us — a real person reads it.

Notifications are opt-in. You can choose: a gentle reminder to vote, a heads-up when a new lesson is chosen, and (off by default) a ping when someone votes. Turn any of them on or off anytime in the app — turning them off removes your device’s push token.

You can leave a group from within the app, which removes you from it. Inactive groups are automatically deleted after about two weeks. To have a group or member removed sooner, just email us.
